Hey, how often do YOU get to sit in the cockpit of an F-18?

The plane is operational and flown every couple of days at Dryden, though it's unarmed. I was told in no uncertain terms that anything colored yellow, orange, or red in the cockpit was not to be fiddled with because it was live and potentially lethal (such as the ejector seat, which would not have gone through the roof of the hangar if activated).

The cockpit of an F-18 is so small that they probably couldn't have lowered the canopy because it would have hit me on he head.

Though you can't see it, my left hand is resting on the throttle levers on the left-hand side of the cockpit.
